      Brad,

      Are there any openings left in January for hunting geese?  Our group had a great hunt.  I had never seen that many ducks in two mornings in Ohio in the last 10 years.  We will be back next year for sure!  If we do not get to come down this January 2002 for a goose hunt, I will be booking a duck hunt for the fall of 2002.  My son and I agreed that we will make this trip to Arkansas every year.  When my youngest son is old enough to hunt, he too will make the trip with us, the Lord willing.  We are stilling praying for your father.  I hope he is tolerating the chemo. Give him our best.  Yankees really are not that much different than Southerners.  We just need to go South to unwind.  If I don't get to talk to you before the Holidays, I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.  Till later, Mike

 

       PS: say Hi to Mark Spiller and tell him I order a duck call from L & J Custom Calls and I need to recruit him for   some instructions on calling ducks.  He is the BEST!

 Good Morning Brad,

 

Just wanted to send you a note of thanks for a great hunt.  We saw litterly thousands of snow and blue geese during the three days we spent in Arkansas.  We killed a fair amount of ducks and the variety was amazing.  If we had shot better we would have cleaned house.  We all think Mark Spiller is an excellent guide and one of the best duck callers I have ever heard or seen.  Don't lose this kid.  He is something special.  We will book another hunt next year and we want Mark to guide our group.

     We all had a blast.  A bad day hunting in Arkansas is better than a good day in NC.  Let me know if you have any available days after Christmas until the 10th of January.  I may can get a group of three or four to go.  My group really enjoyed Kenny he is a pretty good guy.  We all had fun as a group.  Keep the reports coming and let me know of any cancellations.  Thank you, Shaler

I wanted to let you know that my father passed away 10/4/00. If you look at your photo page for January of 00 you will see the 'Taylor/Sambor' party.
 
It goes without saying that my dad never made it to the next season.
 
However, I can only state that our entire hunt was the BEST 3 DAY HUNT of his life as well as mine!
I often think of the Green Timber hunt on our first day! It was, and will always be the best hunt of my life for several reasons.
 
-It was the first and last timber hunt with my dad..
-It was everything I ever dreamed a Arkansas Timber Hunt experience would be..
-It was fun spending time with you and Billy in the boats.
-Not to mention we 'Hammered' em!
 
I can only hope our friendship continues and you allow me to continue to hunt your club, with you!
